Silva Screen Records has consistently brought us some fantastic albums over the years that present us with our favorite film music in a familiar but fresh way. Their compilation albums performed usually by The City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and/or London Music Works present us with a great way to hear some of the best compositions in a different light.

Since these albums are not score albums we will forgo a traditional review. You can’t really review select pieces from scores but here you can experience selections of music presented in a fully orchestral setting. In some cases you will hear the music in new ways, discover different nuances and just enjoy a different take. Silva Screen’s albums present you with that chance. These are not the scores as recorded for the film, and the composers themselves are not involved with the recording beside providing the written music. They are not meant to replace the original recordings but provide listeners with the best selections in a fashion that is true to the composer's voice but is still slightly different.

This release contains music from The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings films.
