Film.Music.Media is proud to support Education Through Music-Los Angeles again this year as they hosted their annual fundraising gala. This year, the honorees were Ed Helms (Actor, The Office / The Hangover Trilogy) and Richard Meyer (Veteran Music Educator).

From ETM-LA:

Education Through Music-Los Angeles partners with inner-city schools with the mission to provide and promote music in disadvantaged schools as a part of the core curriculum for every child to enhance students’ academic achievement, creativity and overall development.

Our primary activity is forming long-termed partnerships with Los Angeles County schools, through In-School Music Education Programs. Within this implementation we hope to help districts and school’s principals establish and sustain school wide music education programs become integrated within the Common Core Curriculum. As an independent 501©3 nonprofit, Education Through Music-LA is based on the ETM® model that has successfully revitalized communities in New York City for 25 years.

Film.Music.Media was on hand to cover the event and sit-down with honorees Ed Helms and Richard Meyer, host Andy Richter and a few of the evenings key guests. Hear everyone speak on how important music in education is from their own point of views. We also chat briefly about some of the guests' recent projects!
